Authentic Bats is a new baseball bat company founded by the renowned batmaker David Chandler. Committed to crafting the finest baseball bats, Authentic blends cutting-edge technology with expert craftsmanship. I’ve taken on a freelance creative direction role with the brand, contributing to various creative projects, including brand identity, logo design, photography, videography, and other marketing materials. Beyond graphic design, I’ve tackled challenges like organizing photoshoots, securing locations, and conveying the brand’s story through visuals. I continue to work with the team as we prepare for the 2025 launch.
LOGO ANIMATION
The Logo Animation design is an element that will be used for creative and informational content from the brand via YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok.
This was the prototype animation made in 2023.

BAT KNOB STICKER
The bat knob sticker design is a brand element that I was responsible for designing, it is a continuation of the Authentic Bats brand, representing their commitment to quality work. Baroque-inspired elements from the primary logo are carried over to the design of this sticker. The sticker is presented in a sleek, iridescent lining on a black background. I photographed the final look of the stick as it is placed on the bat in the far-right image.

RESPONSIVE LOGO AND ALTERNATIVES
I was tasked with creating a responsive system of logos from the original logo on the bats. Breaking down the logo from full emblem to wordmark, creating variations of it that work across. different platforms and contexts. This creates flexibility for the logo as it can scale and adapt to different screens, print sizes and other applications while maintaining brand identity.

STUDIO PHOTOGRAPHY

2023 CREATIVE CONTENT
For content creation, I was asked to capture product photography, promotional photography, and a promotional video. With the products, I focused on the craft and quality of the bats, for this, I used a clean, white background to draw all of the focus to the product. For other creative and promotional photography and videography, I wanted to show the product in use. I also felt that the environment was important, and the feel of the environment must add to the work. During the time of the shoot, it was Late December and January, so the weather was not suitable for outdoor shoots. Luckily, I had a personal connection to an athletic facility that allowed us to shoot indoors. The black walls added to the sleekness and overall feel of the product.

APPAREL DESIGN
As the brand grows and endorses notable athletes, it is important to have wearables to represent the brand. These first few concepts are to just give a taste of what the apparel may look like.
